PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition for a color filter that is excellent in brightness of a coated film and also excellent in other physical properties such as heat resistance and light resistance when the colored composition is used for a color filter.SOLUTION: A colored composition for a color filter contains at least a colorant, a binder resin and an organic solvent. The colorant is composed of an azo pigment having a specific structure, and C. I.PIGMENT RED254, C. I.PIGMENT RED242, or diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment.
