For coordinating video information with other measurements, a remote sensing apparatus measures coordinates of reference targets at at least two reference locations in a target plane. Said coordinates are expressed in a two- dimensional coordinate system that coincides with said target plane. One or more images of the target area are provided, and the locations are detected where the reference targets appear in said image(s). Said digital image(s) may be modified to make the coordinates of said reference targets in said images coincide with their measured coordinates at said reference locations.
