The client terminal 101 comprises: a business system 108; a screen saver function 115 which, when the client terminal 101 is not operated for a fixed period, turns the client terminal 101 into a screen saving state; and a shutdown system 109 which, if the screen saving state and the non-calling state of the telephone set 102 occur simultaneously, instructs on the basis of the lasting periods of the states and a shutdown regulation value the business system 108 to shutdown.
