PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration wave driving apparatus that can be reduced in cost and size without lowering performance.SOLUTION: A vibration wave driving apparatus includes: a vibrator where a first elastic body, a second elastic body, and an electromechanical energy conversion element provided between the first and second elastic bodies are arranged in a rotational axis direction; a rotor that makes a rotational movement by means of a vibration excited in the first elastic body through application of a driving signal to the electromechanical energy conversion element; an output transmission part that makes a rotation in synchronization with the rotor; and a shaft that pass through the vibrator, the rotor, and the output transmission part in the rotational axis direction. The output transmission part includes a fitting part fitted to the shaft or a flange fixed to the shaft and a part of an area of the fitting part of the output transmission part and a part of the first elastic body is constructed to position in the same plane perpendicular to the rotational axis direction. |
