ANION CONDUCTING ELECTROLYTE MEMBRANE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an anion conducting electrolyte membrane well-balanced in between electric conductivity and moisture content, and high in electric conductivity; and a method for producing the anion conducting electrolyte membrane.SOLUTION: A graft chain 2 including an alkyl halide group is introduced into a polymer base material 1 by radiation graft polymerization, the polymer base material comprising a fluorine polymer, an olefin polymer or an aromatic polymer which are excellent in mechanical characteristics and chemical stability at high temperatures, and a weakly basic quaternary ammonium salt 3 is introduced by a reaction between various amines with high basic strength (organic strong bases) and an alkyl halide section. Accordingly, an anion conducting electrolyte membrane having high electric conductivity and low moisture content can be obtained by the combination of a hydroxide ion that is the most weak acid and a stable weak acid-weak base group.
