PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a sheet or plate composite material including carbon fibers aligned in one direction and impregnated with a resin.SOLUTION: This method for producing a composite material including carbon fibers aligned in one direction includes: (1) a carbon fiber supply step; (2) a resin supply step; and (3) an impregnation step. In the carbon fiber supply step (1), a plurality of carbon fiber bundles each having a width of 5-100 mm and a cross-sectional aspect ratio of 10-10,000 are aligned to form a planar set having a total filament number of 200,000-30,000,000, and this is supplied at a rate of 1-100 m/min. In the carbon fiber supply step (1) and the impregnation step (3), the carbon fiber bundles are supplied so that the introduction angle of the carbon fiber bundles is 0-30° relative to a feeding direction of the composite material as viewed vertically relative to the composite material. |
