PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking utensil like a vat which enables a cook to see the kind or content of food contained therein by looking at a color member attached to a key part thereof, so that the cook can handle the food in a steady and smooth manner from any direction of a cooking table.SOLUTION: A cooking utensil includes: an utensil body 1; two pairs of hole mounts 2 and 2, each pair of which is externally placed on either side of the lateral walls of the utensil body 1, with the pair hole mounts being properly distanced from each other; two pairs of angular U-shaped handles 3 and 3 put on either side of the lateral walls, with each end of the handles inserted into its corresponding hole mount; and two colored identifying pipe members 6 and 6 laterally provided, which are each passed through either one of the handles 3 fixed to its corresponding hole mounts in a way that the colored identifying pipe members 6 are diagonally positioned when seen from above. These colored identifying pipe members are each put on the vertical portions 5 and 5 of the angular U-shaped handles whose ends are inserted into the hole mounts that are placed at a proper distance from each other, so that the colored identifying pipe members can be seen from any direction on a cooking table. |
