PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a video flicker at the time of high-speed photographing.SOLUTION: A photographing device capable of high-speed photographing with a light storing time shorter than the blink period of illumination comprises: filter means for extracting the fluctuation pattern of a signal level at timing which nearly accords with integral multiple times the period of a flicker phenomenon by which the signal level of a photographing image fluctuates; means for storing the extracted fluctuation pattern; and means for correcting the signal level of the image to a constant level on the basis of the stored fluctuation pattern. The filter means is a recursive filter which outputs a value obtained by combining a signal level (one field integrated value) obtained at each field unit with output of itself at M times before using a prescribed weight, and the integer M is set to a number obtained by dividing a field frequency at the time of photographing by a common divisor of the field frequency and a light source flicker frequency. When different light source flicker frequencies can be taken, the M is a number obtained by dividing it by the greatest common divisor of the field frequency and the plurality of light source flicker frequencies.
