PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera which can securely detect a behavior to interfere with photographing such as to stick a tape on an imaging section including an optical system such as a lens, to cover the section with cloth and to spray a spraying paint.SOLUTION: In a monitoring camera 10, a front panel 11 is mounted on a front face of an imaging section 22. A light emitting section 12 and a light receiving section 13 are installed inside the monitoring camera 10. The light emitting section 12 irradiates the front panel 11 with a first light beam (IRB) which emits light by itself. The light receiving section 13 is disposed in a position where a second light beam (B2), which is obtained by reflecting the first light beam on an external surface of the front panel 11, and a third light beam (B3), which transmits the front panel 11, and is reflected on a shielding object 4 to return, can be received. The light receiving section 13 detects a light reception amount obtained by adding the light volumes of the second light beam and the third light beam. A detection value of the light reception amount is used for detecting various kinds of hindrance behavior. |
