PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnosis method of a potentiometer, which prevents a too early diagnosis of a breakdown, such as the generation of noise.SOLUTION: The performance of a potentiometer deteriorates in the order of the generation of noise, the deterioration of linearity, the variation of a resistance value, and the increase in running torque. A method focuses on the increase in the running torque which occurs after the generation of the noise, as a target among the order and diagnoses it. Specifically, load torque Tp in an operating state of the potentiometer is measured, and the measured load torque Tp and a predetermined threshold are compared, so that the increase in the running torque is diagnosed on the basis of the comparison result. |
