PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet penetrating agent reducing the total VOC, being excellent in storage stability and foam breaking property, and being capable of recording good images on plain paper and dedicated gloss paper, and to provide an ink composition for inkjet recording containing the same.SOLUTION: An ink composition for inkjet recording contains a compound represented by the following formula (1), and contains an inkjet penetrating agent having a content of an alcohol represented by the following formula (2) of ≤1%. The formulae (1) and (2) are represented: CH-O-(CH-CH-O)-H (1) wherein m is an integer of 5 to 10, and n is an integer of 2 to 15; and CH-OH (2) wherein m is an integer of 5 to 10. |
