PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously perform such smooth traveling that a vehicle travels on a flat road even if constant-speed traveling control is started immediately after transited to an ascending slope or the like from the flat road.SOLUTION: A criterion vehicle model 10 comprises a rolling resistance component storage part 10a and an air resistance component setting part 10b, and a rolling resistance component R1 and an air resistance component R2 are supplied to selection parts 10c, 10d. The selection parts 10c, 10d output the rolling resistance component R1 and the air resistance component R2 when a flag Fa is in a non-set state, and output "0" when the flag Fa is in a set state. An adder 10f adds an estimated value Ge and outputs of the selection parts 10c, 10d, operates target acceleration Gc by the division of the result of the addition by the mass weight M of an automobile by a divider 10g, and operates a criterion vehicle speed Vc by integrating the target acceleration Gc. Then, there is performed control so that an actual vehicle speed may coincide with the criterion vehicle speed Vc even at normal traveling and constant-speed traveling. |
