PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller for enabling responsiveness of a vehicle to be prevented suitably from degrading in relation to a vehicle starting operation caused by a driver when the driver forcibly releases a held state of a brake.SOLUTION: An ecological running ECU 1 automatically restarts an engine 2 in response to a brake releasing operation performed by the driver during an automatically stopped state of the engine 2 and outputs, to a brake ECU 5, a command to hold brake pressure. Then, in response to the completion of the automatic restart of the engine 2, the ecological running ECU 1 outputs, to the brake ECU 5, a command to release the held state of the brake pressure. On the other hand, when the command to release the held state of the brake pressure is not input from the ecological running ECU 1, the brake ECU 5 forcibly releases the holding of the brake pressure by its own judgment and makes a decreasing speed of the brake pressure at that time faster than that at which the held state of the brake pressure is released in response to a normal command from the ecological running ECU 1. |
