PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security label having a patterned latent image in an invisible state and impossible to visually understand, and capable of developing color of the latent image with rich color variation.SOLUTION: A label using an electrochromic material developing color by applying a voltage thereto, is formed by sequentially laminating a patterning conductive layer, an electrolyte layer formed to cover the patterning conductive layer, an electrochromic layer including the electrochromic material, and an upper conductive layer, on a substrate. A latent image is patterned on the patterning conductive layer, and a surface of the upper conductive layer opposite to a surface facing the electrochromic layer is defined as an observation-side surface of the upper conductive layer. The label is configured such that voltage is applied to between the patterning conductive layer and the upper conductive layer to develop color of the electrochromic material included in the electrochromic layer so as to determine the latent image from the observation side surface. |
