PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of easily and probably acquiring a white balance correction value in consideration of the spectral response characteristic of an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A white balance adjustment apparatus comprises: a light source; an imaging apparatus to be adjusted; an optical filter which can be inserted onto and removed from a light path between the light source and the imaging apparatus and transmits light of a predetermined wavelength component therethrough; and a control unit which, using a first image and a second image generated by causing the imaging apparatus to image light from the light source when the optical filter is saved from the light path and when the optical filter is inserted onto the light path, calculates an adjustment value for adjusting the correction amount of white balance processing on the image imaged by the imaging apparatus, in accordance with the light source accompanying the insertion/removal of the optical filter.
