The bar (3) has two portions (6, 7) slidingly movable relative to each other. A bond, a welded joint (10), a lateral bracket, a screw, an adhesive band and locking elements are connected over an entire length of the bar and produce a shear-resistant connection between the two portions of the bar. The locking elements are formed in a wedge-shape and designed as round parts, and the two portions are welded with one another. The bar is reinforced by fibers e.g. glass fibers, plastic fibers and carbon fibers and made of plastic. The round parts are arranged in recesses of the portions. An independent claim is also included for a thermal insulated composite section.
