<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device with a lock in a simple and compact configuration, capable of surely locking a sliding door and opening, closing and locking the sliding door by a single actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The opening/closing device with a lock includes: a rack and pinion mechanism 10 for opening and closing a pair of sliding doors 11A and 11B; an actuator as an opening/closing drive source; a lock mechanism 60 capable of locking the sliding doors 11A and 11B at a fully closed position by restraining the movements of lock members 14A and 14B fixed to the respective sliding doors respectively; a switching mechanism 33 of the lock mechanism 60; and a planetary gear mechanism 20 to which the driving force of the actuator is input, and which is capable of outputting the driving force to a pinion 9 and the switching mechanism 33.
