A propulsion unit (30,40) for firing a projectile from a projectile launcher, the propulsion unit comprising a high pressure chamber containing propellant (54), a primer for igniting the propellant (54) and a circuit board (53) wherein the circuit board (53) is connected to the primer by an electrical interface with electrical contacts. Preferably said electrical interface is a pin (56).
