A storage unit comprising: a self-contained centralized fish-feed storage and distribution tank suitable for use in open water, said fish feed, storage and distribution tank including: a feed storage bin adapted to hold a supply of fish food; a mounting means for mounting said feed storage bin; a metering means for metering a supply of fish feed from said feed storage bin to a mixing chamber; a mixing chamber for receiving fish feed metered by said metering means, said mixing chamber being connected to a source of water wherein a feed slurry is formed in said mixing chamber; and a pump means operatively associated with said mixing chamber to force the slurry of fish food from said mixing chamber with pressurized water to a plurality of cages.
