PURPOSE: A marker for diagnosing colon cancer, containing syndecan-2 peptide fragments is provided to develop a therapeutic agent for treating colon cancer. CONSTITUTION: A composition for diagnosing colon cancer contains an agent for measuring expression level of syndecan-2 peptide fragments. The peptide fragment contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1 or 3. The agent contains an antibody which is specific to syndecan-2 peptide fragment. A kit for diagnosing colon cancer contains the composition and is a protein chip kit. A method for detecting the protein fragment comprises: a step of measuring expression level of the fragment from a sample of an individual who has possibility of colon cancer; and a step of comparing the expression level with expression level of a normal control group. |
