PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a display device including the same are provided to reduce power consumption by controlling the quantity of currents without repeatedly turning on and off the output terminal of a light source driving IC to drive a light source unit. CONSTITUTION: A current generating unit (112) generates a first current and a second current. A current level control unit (111) controls the first current in response to the duty ratio information of a pulse width modulation signal which is inputted. A voltage providing unit (113) outputs a first voltage which corresponds to the second current. An output buffer unit (114) outputs the first voltage which is provided from the voltage providing unit.
