PURPOSE: A copper oxide-containing carbon nanofiber and a method for fabricating the same are provided to ensure excellent cycle property. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating copper oxide-containing carbon nanofiber comprises: a step of adding copper precursors to carbon fiber precursor to prepare a fiber precursor composition; a step of spinning the composition and performing thermal treatment of the fiber; a step of carbonizing the fiber and activating the carbonized fiber. The fiber precursor composition contains polyvinylpyrrolidone resin and compounds with oxygen atoms.
