PURPOSE: Password input system using gesture and a method thereof are using gesture connecting points of the screen, thereby prevent from users purposely sharing password and unreasonably using online site. CONSTITUTION: Gesture input unit(400) inputs gesture password connecting points of screen. User database(410) comprises user ID and gesture password information. Gesture comparator(420) compares the gesture received from gesture input unit with gesture information stored in the user database. The user data base comprises direction vector information of the gesture password. The gesture comparator converts the gesture into vector information, and compares with direction vector information of the user data base.
