PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to improve the luminance of an image by forming reflection electrodes and a light reflection member on a back substrate. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal material layer (17) is arranged between a front substrate (18) and a back substrate (14). The back substrate includes reflection electrodes and a light reflection material. The reflection electrode is formed on a surface facing the liquid crystal material layer. The light reflection material reflects the external light to the front substrate. The external light passes through a gap between the reflection electrodes and goes towards the back surface of the back substrate.
