PURPOSE: A device and a method for inspecting the performance of an oil-jet for vehicles are provided to prevent the partial contamination of a video camera lens by having scattered oil spread on a lens protection stand installed between a video image camera and the oil-jet. CONSTITUTION: A device for inspecting the performance of an oil-jet (10) for vehicles includes an oil supply unit (20), a photographing unit (30), and a controller (40). The oil supply unit supplies oil identical to working oil, which is utilized when an engine of an actual vehicle is driven, to the oil-jet. The photographing unit photographs the state of the oil being discharged to the oil-jet. The control unit measures the straightness of the oil-jet by using the information of videos photographed by the photographing unit. The control unit signal-processes the video information and determines whether failure exists or not based on the number of pixels of the video information.
