PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably record data before or after occurrence of an event in a constant-recording type drive recorder.SOLUTION: A drive recorder 2 prohibits overwriting to a file including image data at an event occurrence time and overwriting to a file with data recorded thereon immediately after or immediately before occurrence of the event. Thus, even by a constant-recording type drive recorder 2 which performs overwriting of the image data with a predetermined period, a user can verify data at an event occurrence time as well as surely and posteriorly verify an event occurrence consequence which is a situation around a vehicle 1 after the event occurrence or an event occurrence cause which is a situation around the vehicle 1 before the event occurrence.
