<p>The present technology relates to an image processing apparatus, method and process for presenting a more natural stereoscopic image. A photographing unit takes a plurality of pairs of images comprising a right-eye image and a left-eye image. The photographing unit also takes a wide-angle right-eye image including the subject of respective right-eye images, and a wide-angle left-eye image including the subject of respective left-eye images. A position determination unit, on the basis of a plurality of image pairs with different points of convergence, arranges a plurality of right-eye images on a coordinate system based on the wide-angle right-eye image, and arranges a plurality of left-eye images on a coordinate system based on the wide-angle left-eye image. A composing process unit composes the right-eye images arranged on the coordinate system, and composes the left-eye images arranged on the coordinate system. Thus, a stereoscopic image comprising the composed right-eye images and left-eye images and including a plurality of points of convergence can be obtained. The present technology can be applied to an image processing apparatus.</p> |
