An insulated electric wire, in which an insulating coating film comprising a heat-curable resin is provided on a conductive body directly or with another insulating layer interposed therebetween, wherein the insulating coating film comprising the heat-curable resin is a bubble-containing layer produced by burning a heat-curable resin varnish and a layer containing no bubble is formed as an upper layer or a lower layer for the bubble-containing layer.
