<p>The method for controlling congestion by a base station that constitutes a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of sensing whether or not congestion exists; and a reporting step of transmitting congestion information, including whether or not congestion was sensed in the previous step, to a mobility management entity (MME) or a serving gateway (S-GW). According to said embodiment, a base station and a core network or a terminal that recognize the existence of congestion may adjust communication speed using data-related information upon the occurrence of congestion in a wireless access network, thus making it possible to adjust communication speed for a bearer, a user, and data characteristics including an application, respectively, and enabling a core network to efficiently use resources.</p> |
