The present invention addresses the problem of providing a coupling structure capable of improving both strength and rigidity. This coupling structure couples an lengthwise end section of a hat section member (27) that is a metal-plate press-formed part, and another member (a side sill (14)), wherein the lengthwise end section of the hat section member (27) is divided noncontinuously into three portions, a bottom-wall end section (27a) and two locations on a side-wall end section (27b, 27c). The bottom-wall end section (27a) has a width (w1) exceeding the width (W) of the bottom section of the center portion of the hat section member (27) and is welded to the other member (14). The two locations on the side-wall end section (27b, 27c) are formed by bending and are welded to the other member (14). |
