<p>Disclosed are a method and system for coding wavelength labels. The method comprises: determining data coding requirements in accordance with wavelength labels; determining a coding manner meeting the coding requirements; and determining a codeword mapping relationship in the coding manner, so as to code the wavelength labels. The technology of the present invention for coding wavelength labels achieves the purpose of coding wawelength labels, and has distinct advantages of simple implementation and a low cost. Performing data coding on wavelength labels can improve the proportionality of a channel codeword, and eliminate long continuous 0 or long continuous 1 which possibly presents in the codeword, thereby guaranteeing a receiving end to have a better signal-to-noise ratio. In addition, more data stream control information can be provided. If data coding is not performed on wavelength labels, the proportionality of the channel codeword cannot be guaranteed, and the data stream control information cannot be transmitted in the wavelength labels.</p> |
