THE INK SUPPLY TANK FOR AN INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: An ink supply tank for an ink jet printer is provided to spray a proper amount of ink to paper from a cartridge inside the printer, thereby minimizing printing failure and the drying time. CONSTITUTION: An ink supply tank (10) for an ink jet printer includes an ink storage unit (11), an air storage unit (12), and a connection hole (20). The ink storage unit is partitioned by a partition wall (13), and ink is inserted via an ink injection hole (14) formed on the top of the ink storage unit and stored in the ink storage unit. External air flows into the air storage unit via an air inflow port (15) formed on the top of the air storage unit. The external air is stored in the air storage unit. The connection hole is formed on the bottom of the partition wall so that the ink storage unit and the air storage unit are connected. The straight connection hole has a minimum diameter of 0.6-1mm.
