PURPOSE: A waste compressor capable of preventing binding wires from being broken is provided to prevent the binding wires from being broken when compressed waste is bound and to rapidly compress the waste. CONSTITUTION: A waste compressor (100) capable of preventing binding wires from being broken comprises a compressing cylinder (120), a compressing disk unit (130), a binding wire break preventing member (140), and a hopper (150). The binding wire break preventing member comprises a groove, a rotation hole, and a rotary plate. The groove is formed in front upper and lower ends of an accommodating space forming unit which is fixed to one surface of the compressing disk unit in order that one end is adjacent in a transverse direction. The rotary plate closes an accommodating space unit when the waste is compressed and is rotated by the binding wires when the binding wires are drawn from the accommodating space unit.
