PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional coupler in which a device area or an insertion loss can be prevented from being increased, while suppressing reduction in a coupling amount of coupling characteristics in spite of a configuration where compensation circuits and attenuators are provided.SOLUTION: A directional coupler 1 comprises a main line 2, a sub line 3, compensation circuits 6A and 6B and attenuators 5A and 5B. The compensation circuit 6A and 6B are connected to the sub line and compensate for a frequency deviation of a coupling amount between a coupling port and a signal input port. The attenuators 5A and 5B are connected between the sub line 3 and the compensation circuits 6A and 6B respectively and attenuate a signal to be passed. The compensation circuits 6A and 6B include resistors R connected in series between a signal line and a ground, and reactance circuits 4A and 4B connected between the resistors R and the attenuators 5A and 5B respectively. |
