PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and the like that can give resource information and the like to a device required for allocation of resource without updating information stored in a BIOS with respect to a newly added device.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus comprises: a device that is attached to an own apparatus; a BIOS program that is executed by a CPU and includes a command of controlling the allocation of the resource information required for an operation of the device; and a storage part that includes a type identifier preliminarily stored in the device, a resource table in which the resource information corresponding to the type identifier is described and a flag of determining whether to give the resource information. When the resource table is referred to on the basis of the type identifier and there is no type identifier, the BIOS program discriminates a state of the flag stored in the storage part, and when the BIOS program discriminates that the allocation of the resource information is required, the BIOS program gives the device the resource information, and updates the resource table on the basis of the type identifier and the resource information. |
