PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further easily display an image of high quality with a small data amount.SOLUTION: A gamma value calculation section calculates a gamma value γ which changes in accordance with a gradation value of a pixel in a photographed image. The gamma value γ increases in proportion to a gradation value CV from a gamma value γto a gamma value γ, for example. A display image generation section gradation-corrects the photographed image on the basis of the gamma value γ and the photographed image and generates a display image. The photographed image is converted into the display image by performing exponentiation on a standardized gradation value of the pixel of the photographed image with the gamma value γ as an index and multiplying a maximum value of a pixel value of the pixel in the display image. Thus, a gamma value used for gradation-correcting the photographed image is variable, so that the display image of high quality can be further easily obtained with the small data amount. This technique can be applied to an information processing apparatus. |
