<p>Provided is a polyester film roll for an optical phase difference plate in which a film with the following properties is rolled into a roll: the variation of the angle of the tilt of the main orientation axis (the orientation angle) in relation to the width direction of the film is within or equal to 6°; the width is at least 200 mm and less than 2,000 mm; the in-plane phase difference value retardation is 50-200 nm; the variation of the in-plane phase difference value retardation in relation to the width direction of the film is equal to or less than 20 nm; the local phase difference irregularity is less than 10 nm; and the thickness is at least 2mum and no more than 10mum. The polyester film roll is suitable for use with an optical phase difference plate.</p> |
