PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed rendezvous channel method using a rendezvous channel, having a small delay in radio communication, particularly in a cognitive radio environment.SOLUTION: A radio unit waiting for connection stores a channel use state for a certain period to calculate a time ratio of using a channel (occupancy ratio) to time. A connection time to a channel having the lowest occupancy ratio is made larger than other channels. As a result, the standby radio unit stands by for a long time in a channel having a low occupancy ratio. A radio unit that desires to newly establish communication measures an occupancy ratio to estimate a channel to which the radio unit desiring connection is to be connected. From the measuring occupancy ratio information, connection probability to each channel is derived by a theoretical formula. Then, a control signal is transmitted to a channel having a highest existence probability.
