PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and easily treating a large amount of taken-out produced water while suppressing the increase of cost by the use of a chemical or the generation of waste accompanying it.SOLUTION: A method for treating produced water taken out according to the production of crude oil or natural gas, and containing at least an oil content as a treatment target subject includes: an oil content separation process 1 performed so as to remove free oil or the like from the produced water as the need arises; a coagulation process 2 of coagulating emulsified oil by introducing micro-nano bubbles consisting of ozone-containing gas into the produced water preferably such that a gas-liquid contact time of 2-60 minutes can be obtained; and a floatation separation process 3 of floating and separating the coagulated emulsified oil as scum to obtain purified water.
