摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, in a laser diode driving device, an increase in speed and a reduction in power consumption of optical transmission by realizing asymmetric correction without using a conventional edge detection circuit.SOLUTION: A laser diode driving device includes: a driving current generation circuit 13 that generates a driving current IM1 having HI periods and LOW periods on the basis of an input signal; an emphasis generation circuit 14 that generates an emphasis signal from the input signal; and a correction current generation circuit 17 that generates a correction current IM2 on the basis of the emphasis signal. The laser diode driving device 10 generates a laser diode driving signal IM by synthesizing the driving current IM1 and the correction current IM2 together, the emphasis generation circuit 14 is constructed from a signal delay circuit 15 that delays the input signal by a predetermined time and a duty ratio adjustment circuit 16 that adjusts a duty ratio of the delayed signal, and correction made at rising of the laser diode driving signal IM and correction made at falling of the signal IM are asymmetric to each other.
