PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blowing method that suppresses flying of a carbon source loaded into a furnace as a heat source during blowing to improve an addition yield of the carbon source while reducing a generation amount of dust, in decarburizing a steel grade (e.g., stainless steel) that requires a large input of alloys, using a converter.SOLUTION: In a decarburization-blowing method that decarburizes molten pig iron using a converter to obtain high-alloy steel, a carbon source with 4 mass% or less of a volatile matter content is loaded into the converter for thermal compensation. |
