PURPOSE: A method for detecting multi touch points in an infrared touch screen is provided to exactly detect the real multi touch points regardless of a virtual image and detect the multi touch points of a user regardless of the position and size of the user multi touch points. CONSTITUTION: The vertical position of a user multi touch point is processed as an image on a screen by differentiating a position, through which vertical infrared rays pass, and the position of the user multi touch point on the screen. The occurrence of the reception of an infrared beam signal is stored in a memory. The horizontal position of the user multi touch point is processed as an image on the screen by differentiating a position, through which horizontal infrared rays pass, and the position of the user multi touch point on the screen. The occurrence of the reception of the infrared beam signal is stored in the memory. |
