PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the verification on all the spirals without interruption of recording when, on the basis of recording by ATS (adjacent track servo), simultaneous recording of the spiral folded into two or more is performed for improvement in the recording rate.SOLUTION: When a recording beam irradiated via the same objective lens and a beam for servo are put in one set, in a state where tracking servo is applied by beams for servo in all the sets without overlapping on each recording track by recording beams in the other sets, the actual data recording by each recording beam is executed. Thus, a state where all the spirals simultaneously recorded are respectively traced by one beam for servo without fail can be obtained, and as a result, the verification on all the spirals simultaneously recorded can be performed without interruption of recording. |
