摘要 The invention relates to a system comprising a master device and at least one slave device, e.g. two slave devices, the master device comprising a transmitter, and the slave device comprising a receiver. The invention further relates to a method and use. The object of the present invention is to solve one or more problems of the prior art, e.g. economize on power consumption for a wireless communications link. The problem is solved in that the master and slave devices are adapted to establish a uni-directional wireless link for forwarding an upstream data signal from the master to the slave device when the master and slave devices are located within a certain distance from each other, wherein the master device is adapted to provide that the upstream data signal comprises a payload data signal and at least one control data signal, the at least one control data signal is/are embedded in the payload data signal and repeated according to a predefined scheme, and wherein the at least one control data signal represents an intended current setting of an operational parameter of the slave device, wherein the system is adapted to provide that the at least one control data signal is/are assembled in a status packet of the transmitted data signal and that the reception of the status packet initiates an update of the setting of the operational parameter(s) of the slave device with the value(s) contained in the received status packet, and that the frequency of occurrence of the status packet is dynamically determined according to the available bandwidth. An advantage of the invention is that it provides a scheme for wirelessly controlling and changing the settings of a slave device from a master device using a uni-directional link from master to slave device. The invention may e.g. be used for applications involving wireless communication between devices at least one of which is a low-power (e.g. battery driven) device, e.g. a portable device, e.g. a listening device, such as a hearing instrument or a pair of hearing instruments.
