<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade a partial consumption of the printing head. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus 10 is composed of a delivery means 11 for delivering a strip of rolled web R, a printing means 12 having a printing head 26 for printing the rolled web R delivered by the delivery means 11 and a platen 27, and a moving means 13 for moving the printing head 26 and the platen 27. The printing head 26 and the platen 27 are formed to make the length in the width direction of the rolled web R longer than the width of the rolled web R.
