PURPOSE: A method for adaptively displaying a play type of remote content according to a communications state of a wireless network and an apparatus for the same are provided to inform a user of the play type of the remote content in a current communications state. CONSTITUTION: A data transceiving unit (112) requests and receives data of content from an external server. The data transceiving unit measures an available data service speed of a wireless communications network using the size and time of received data. A user interface (UI) processing unit (113) displays information about remote content included in a received response in a screen through the data transceiving unit. The UI processing unit determines a play type of the remote content based on a measured data service speed and displays the play type of the remote content in the screen.
