PURPOSE: A power line communications socket device and an electricity saving system including the same are provided to operate a remote control type electric device in response to a power control signal for turning on power inputted from a central control device. CONSTITUTION: Each of first and second plug connecting units (21,23) includes a plug providing power to an electric device. A power cutting unit turns on or off power supplied to the first and second plug connecting units. A system control unit checks whether power line communications is normally performed. In case the power line communications is not normally performed, the system control unit generates a control signal for turning on the power cutting unit.
