Hydraulic dampeners for prosthetic and orthopaedic devices

The hydraulic damper has a piston movably arranged in a cylinder housing through hydraulic fluid. The cylinder housing includes first, second and third channels through which the hydraulic fluid flows and first and second piston strokes that are arranged in directions, respectively and a third piston stroke that is damped in one of the directions. A choke valve is arranged in the first and/or second channel, and the third channel is connected with the first channel. Another choke valve is manually adjusted in the third channel. A return valve is arranged in the first and second channels.
