PURPOSE: An oil tray for robots to transfer liquid crystal display (LCD) substrates and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be used in a long-term by collecting the oil by a collecting groove and an auxiliary groove in case the absorbing amount of an absorbing sheet is exceeded. CONSTITUTION: An oil tray for robots to transfer LCD substrates comprises a body (110) and an absorbing sheet (120). The body is formed in a plate shape and is detachably formed in an opening unit of the joint bottom of the LCD substrate transferring robot. A collecting groove in which the oil discharged from the robot is collected is formed in the center of the body. One or more auxiliary grooves are formed around the collecting groove. The absorbing sheet is equipped on the upper surface of the body and absorbs the oil discharged from the robot.
