PROMOTER OF GENE SPECIFICALLY EXPRESSED IN EARLY FLOWER STAGE IN RICE AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: A tissue-specific promoter sequence is provided to function as an important marker gene and to be used as useful information and a tool for manipulating an artificial gene which regulates development stages and expression at a specific stage. CONSTITUTION: An early stage-specific promoter has a base sequence of sequence number 1. A recombinant plant expression vector contains the promoter. A method for producing a transgenic plant in which a foreign gene is specifically expressed at the early stage of flower development comprises the steps of: transforming plant cells with the vector; and redifferentiating a transgenic plant from the transformed plant cells.
